Rachni queen or aralakh

The krogan clans have agreed to throw their considerable might against the Reapers. Their shock troops are aggressive, relentless, and recklessly brave. Military Strength: Wreav, the leader of Clan Urdnot, has used the release of a genophage cure to seize control of Tuchanka's armies. The krogan allied with Commander Shepard to oppose the Reapers, but Wreav's plans extend far beyond the current war.

With centuries of life ahead, Wreav has bluntly stated his desire to see a new krogan empire expand after the Reapers are destroyed. Requires: Not killing him on Virmire in Mass Effect. Urdnot Wrex fought alongside Commander Shepard during the Reapers' first invasion attempt in Afterwards, he returned to Tuchanka and spent the following years rising to the leadership of his clan, championing progressive methods meant to strengthen the krogan as a whole.

Conservative elements were unhappy, but news of a successfully cured genophage has solidly united all of Tuchanka under Wrex's command.

Hailed not only as a great warrior but a savior, the krogan will follow Urdnot Wrex into the maws of the Reapers themselves. After discovering that the cure for the genophage was sabotaged, Urdnot Wrex angrily ordered the krogan to withdraw support from Shepard's forces. Tuchanka's clans have hunkered down on their homeworld, determined to defend themselves while watching the rest of the galaxy burn. After destroying the Collectors with Commander Shepard, Grunt returned to Tuchanka to learn what it meant to be krogan.

After countless arguments and brawls, the clans have granted Grunt a modicum of acceptance. Tough, wary, and cunning, the young krogan knows this experience will pay off now that it's time to fight the Reapers' forces.

Ancient Tuchankan legends claim that the Aralakh Wastes, named after the system's star, are where the first warrior died in battle. Aralakh Company is made up of krogan from all over Tuchanka, each chosen for their strength, ferocity, and fighting experience.

No krogan community would dream of sending anything less than its finest warriors to represent their clan. The honor of who's to be chosen for the company has started more than one brawl.

Aralakh Company is led by Grunt, a genetically engineered "perfect soldier" who fought the Collectors with Commander Shepard. While young, the krogan has survived such brutal battles that the older warriors of the group have begrudgingly accepted his command. Grunt was appointed representative of Clan Urdnot in addition to becoming head of Aralakh Company, a political appointment not lost on the other clans.

Grunt sees this new position as the first large victory he has won on his own--the respect of his people is difficult to come by. Wave after wave of rachni overwhelmed the Aralakh Company on Utukku. While fighting an impressive enemy to the death is considered an honorable end for a krogan, Aralakh Company has effectively been wiped out.

The krogan First Division is a conglomeration of infantry and vehicles hastily organized into a single coalition force. The chain of command is divided by clan, with representatives from each serving as officers.

Despite ancient differences, fighting the Reapers together is building a spirit of camaraderie among the division's warriors. Shepard has a choice to either save the queen sacrificing Aralakh Company or let her die saving Aralakh Company. If she is saved, Aralakh is slaughtered, and Grunt makes a last stand holding off the rachni Husks called Ravagers. If Grunt wasn't loyal to the mission, then he will die, but if he was loyal, he will survive.

If she is saved, rachni workers are sent to the Crucible project, where they are prized assets for their engineering capabilities, industrious nature, and good teamwork. If Shepard did not spare the Rachni queen on Noveria, the Reapers will artificially construct a Queen thrall in order to control a rachni army. Shepard can choose to spare this artificial queen even if the Commander killed the real queen.

This queen will eventually betray Shepard, taking the Rachni Workers War Assets away and decreasing the numerical values of some Alliance fleet War Assets. The effects are minimal. Only affecting war assets to a small degree. Regardless of choice Grunt survives if loyal in the previous game, if not loyal Grunt only survives if sided with. On a side note ik a little late if you save the krogans you receive a drunken email from Grunt and Aralakh Company praising Shepard and ryncol doesn't affect war assets.

The Reaper modus operandi here is inundating your position with herds of fast-moving melee units, given barriers by Barrier Engines while the heavy hitters deal long-distance barrages.

You may want to give some thought to that, particularly if your combat strategy relies on slow-firing weapons.

As usual, splash damage is key to neutralizing enemies that rely on numbers. The mission makes frequent use of the M Firestorm heavy weapon against both enemies and pieces of level geometry. There are more than enough pickups of the weapon in the mission, and this is the only mission in the entire game that makes use of the weapon.

If you're looking for suitable alternatives to the M Firestormconsider bringing the Particle Rifle instead, if you have it. It does comparable damage, is easier to aim, has unlimited ammo, and has much longer range, but lacks the M Firestorm 's close-range area of effect versatility.

For players that are concerned about the heavy weight penalty of the Particle Rifle along with the other weapons chosen for the missionthe M-7 Lancer is a much lighter weight choice, if available, for an unlimited ammo weapon that can be brought along that will not waste ammo on spore pods, webs, etc.

Practically speaking, it is still up to player choice which weapons to bring to bear against the stated hazards. Upon investigation you will meet up with Aralakh Companyled either by Grunt or if he did not survive the suicide missionor was never released from his tank in the first place Urdnot Dagg. I only read that later on the wiki page. Honestly, I found this all to be a bit confusing. The first time I played ME3, I thought that the Breeder's point was that she would create an army of rachni to help fight the Reapers if I were to release her. That, added to the fact that I was in enemy territory, completely surrounded by enemies; and the fact that I did feel sorry for her fate, made me take the logical path of releasing her from the Reaper's control.

In fact, I thought it would release the Reaper-rachni from Reaper control immediately, massacring the Reapers on the planet. You can imagine my surprise when Hackett told me "quite a gamble to ally with the rachni. I never agreed to such a thing.

Nah, I gas'd that B! Stupid bug. And I would never choose any Bug over Grunt and his pals. I kind of agree. Grunt should die if you choose to save the rachni queen again. I wasn't even aware arlakh company dies until reading about it. If you check your war assets it mentions it but neither Wrex nor Grunt give you any crap about it. Not so sure about saving the breeder though. I never did even with very renegade characters because it creeped me out so much.

And this was before learning that it actually depletes your assets. Realistically, saving the rachni queen not once but twice is very stupid. If you read up on the rachni wars setting the queen free on Noveria is a huge risk and very idealistic. The rachni gave no reason for sympathy. I suppose it's murder to kill the queen but it was to ensure the galaxy's safety. It's a mercy compared to leaving the rachni for the council which isn't an option strangely since they'd just run tests on it.

Now saving the queen a second time is even more stupid.

The other caveat is not to heat the glass too quickly. Let foods thaw at room temperature to avoid glass breakage. Another option for the refrigerator or freezer are the flat-topped airtight stainless steel containers from Life Without Plastic. I did question whether it was better to donate these unhealthy items or to trash them. Turns out, our Oaklandwater is fine without a filter.
