The krogan clans have agreed to throw their considerable might against the Reapers. Their shock troops are aggressive, relentless, and recklessly brave. Military Strength: Wreav, the leader of Clan Urdnot, has used the release of a genophage cure to seize control of Tuchanka's armies. The krogan allied with Commander Shepard to oppose the Reapers, but Wreav's plans extend far beyond the current war.
With centuries of life ahead, Wreav has bluntly stated his desire to see a new krogan empire expand after the Reapers are destroyed. Requires: Not killing him on Virmire in Mass Effect. Urdnot Wrex fought alongside Commander Shepard during the Reapers' first invasion attempt in Afterwards, he returned to Tuchanka and spent the following years rising to the leadership of his clan, championing progressive methods meant to strengthen the krogan as a whole.
Conservative elements were unhappy, but news of a successfully cured genophage has solidly united all of Tuchanka under Wrex's command.
Hailed not only as a great warrior but a savior, the krogan will follow Urdnot Wrex into the maws of the Reapers themselves. After discovering that the cure for the genophage was sabotaged, Urdnot Wrex angrily ordered the krogan to withdraw support from Shepard's forces. Tuchanka's clans have hunkered down on their homeworld, determined to defend themselves while watching the rest of the galaxy burn. After destroying the Collectors with Commander Shepard, Grunt returned to Tuchanka to learn what it meant to be krogan.
After countless arguments and brawls, the clans have granted Grunt a modicum of acceptance. Tough, wary, and cunning, the young krogan knows this experience will pay off now that it's time to fight the Reapers' forces.
Ancient Tuchankan legends claim that the Aralakh Wastes, named after the system's star, are where the first warrior died in battle. Aralakh Company is made up of krogan from all over Tuchanka, each chosen for their strength, ferocity, and fighting experience.
No krogan community would dream of sending anything less than its finest warriors to represent their clan. The honor of who's to be chosen for the company has started more than one brawl.
Aralakh Company is led by Grunt, a genetically engineered "perfect soldier" who fought the Collectors with Commander Shepard. While young, the krogan has survived such brutal battles that the older warriors of the group have begrudgingly accepted his command. Grunt was appointed representative of Clan Urdnot in addition to becoming head of Aralakh Company, a political appointment not lost on the other clans.
Grunt sees this new position as the first large victory he has won on his own--the respect of his people is difficult to come by. Wave after wave of rachni overwhelmed the Aralakh Company on Utukku. While fighting an impressive enemy to the death is considered an honorable end for a krogan, Aralakh Company has effectively been wiped out.
The krogan First Division is a conglomeration of infantry and vehicles hastily organized into a single coalition force. The chain of command is divided by clan, with representatives from each serving as officers.
Despite ancient differences, fighting the Reapers together is building a spirit of camaraderie among the division's warriors. Krogan from different clans are starting to swap equipment, stories and even the occasional barrel of ryncol.Arqade is a question and answer site for passionate videogamers on all platforms. It only takes a minute to sign up. On the mission 'The Attican Traverse: The Rachni' at the end of the mission you are faced with the decision to either free the Rachni Queen or leave her to the fate of her malevolent offspring.
Also, what war assets will be gained or lost as a result? I'm currently playing ME3 with a brand new non-imported character and it seems that the past history given to the player by default indicates that you have presumably killed the Rachni queen in past experience.
Either way, Grunt's survival depends on whether or not you completed his loyalty mission in ME2 - if he's loyal, he lives, otherwise, he dies fighting off the swarm. Note: this answer is all spoilers, taken from the wiki page :. If you spared the Rachni queen in the original Mass Effect, the Reapers find it and indoctrinate her children, although not herself.
Shepard has a choice to either save the queen sacrificing Aralakh Company or let her die saving Aralakh Company. If she is saved, Aralakh is slaughtered, and Grunt makes a last stand holding off the rachni Husks called Ravagers. If Grunt wasn't loyal to the mission, then he will die, but if he was loyal, he will survive.
If she is saved, rachni workers are sent to the Crucible project, where they are prized assets for their engineering capabilities, industrious nature, and good teamwork. If Shepard did not spare the Rachni queen on Noveria, the Reapers will artificially construct a Queen thrall in order to control a rachni army. Shepard can choose to spare this artificial queen even if the Commander killed the real queen.
This queen will eventually betray Shepard, taking the Rachni Workers War Assets away and decreasing the numerical values of some Alliance fleet War Assets. The effects are minimal. Only affecting war assets to a small degree. Regardless of choice Grunt survives if loyal in the previous game, if not loyal Grunt only survives if sided with. On a side note ik a little late if you save the krogans you receive a drunken email from Grunt and Aralakh Company praising Shepard and ryncol doesn't affect war assets.
But rather amusing which is why I like saving Aralakh even if the rachni die out. Not sure what that's about Sign up to join this community. The best answers are voted up and rise to the top. Asked 8 years, 10 months ago. Active 6 years, 10 months ago.

Answer Answer 1 1 silver badge 2 2 bronze badges. Riptzer Riptzer 1.A krogan team has gone missing, and Normandy has received the NavPoint with their last-known coordinates.
Investigate the missing team and find out what happened. Alternative journal entry : A krogan scouting team has gone missing while investigating rumors of activity at the rachni relay.
The mission is acquired automatically upon return from Sur'Kesh. The journal entry is alternatively named as Attican Traverse: The Rachnidepending on your decision regarding the Rachni Queen in the original Mass Effect. The Urdnot leader reports that some of his men went missing, the details of which he'd rather discuss "in private" Urdnot Wreav or "somewhere else" Urdnot Wrex. A NavPoint for this mission is already on the galaxy map, but if the Urdnot leader is talked to in the War Room regarding this, you learn just enough to change the wording of the journal entry.
The krogan heard troubling rumors about activity beyond the rachni relay. Scouts were dispatched, but have not reported since. The enemies for this mission are basic unshielded melee infantry, but with heavy long-range units and barrier -generating devices appearing potentially for the first time. Grenades will also prove especially useful in the final battle. The Reaper modus operandi here is inundating your position with herds of fast-moving melee units, given barriers by Barrier Engines while the heavy hitters deal long-distance barrages.
You may want to give some thought to that, particularly if your combat strategy relies on slow-firing weapons.Italy 1300s renaissance
As usual, splash damage is key to neutralizing enemies that rely on numbers. The mission makes frequent use of the M Firestorm heavy weapon against both enemies and pieces of level geometry. There are more than enough pickups of the weapon in the mission, and this is the only mission in the entire game that makes use of the weapon.
If you're looking for suitable alternatives to the M Firestormconsider bringing the Particle Rifle instead, if you have it. It does comparable damage, is easier to aim, has unlimited ammo, and has much longer range, but lacks the M Firestorm 's close-range area of effect versatility.
For players that are concerned about the heavy weight penalty of the Particle Rifle along with the other weapons chosen for the missionthe M-7 Lancer is a much lighter weight choice, if available, for an unlimited ammo weapon that can be brought along that will not waste ammo on spore pods, webs, etc.
Practically speaking, it is still up to player choice which weapons to bring to bear against the stated hazards. Upon investigation you will meet up with Aralakh Companyled either by Grunt or if he did not survive the suicide missionor was never released from his tank in the first place Urdnot Dagg. If you come close to the edge, one of your squadmates will comment about the drop. Once inside far enough, the building will fall down to the level of the tunnels and you will not be able to get back up to the krogan squad.
You can only proceed forward, where you will find the body of a krogan scout and your first Firestorm. Drop down over the ledge to use the Firestorm against the webbing; if you switch weapons, you will drop the Firestorm to the ground. Past the ledge and a few more webbings on the left, you will find spore pods. Destroy them from a distance or they will damage your shields. Tip: Area of Effect abilities such as Nova and Incinerate can quickly destroy the pods, some abilities are able to pop the pods without them dealing damage back.
Continue on and go up the ramp to find more spore pods, and in the hollow behind the second webbing another dead krogan scout with another Firestorm. Continue through the blue glowing goop, take out a webbing and drop down again.
Note: Before making the last drop you have a chance to shoot out a Barrier Engine if you spot it in the center of the big cave. Following a brief cutscene, you will now fight a Ravager and several Husks that may be protected by a barrier from a barrier engine.
If you are playing through the campaign for the first time, this will likely be the first Ravager you have faced, so the quick rundown is: 1 when you see the blue laser-sighting glare, it means a triple burst from its deadly gun will soon follow, 2 if you can avoid shooting the disgusting sacs on the side of the Ravager there will be fewer Swarmers running around, and 3 when a Ravager goes down, do not step in the smoking acid pile left behind.
Beware the Ravager's powerful long-range shot while the Husks are attacking you. The strange rock shapes of the cover provided will increase the difficulty of this battle as well, and it's easy to get knocked out of cover by a Husk and then finished by the Ravager.Rachni Queens are the matriarchs of the hive-minded, insectoid rachni species. The largest of their species at about fifty feet long, queens are powerful and intelligent creatures who guide the soldiers and workers of their broods with a form of telepathic song, which also allows them to speak through "receptive" beings of other species.
Queens also carry the genetic memory of their mothers, causing them to effectively be born with the collective knowledge of the previous hive. Queens resemble brood warriors but are much larger, with darker skin and glowing eyes. Though queens are usually mated to brood warriors, the reproductive processes of the rachni do not necessarily require a male counterpart.
Queens carry the genetic information of their fathers inside them, allowing them to lay eggs even if no brood warriors are present. They are said to be able to lay a massive amount of eggs every few hours, resulting in an entire rachni colony within days. Rachni queens live in nests deep underground, often on planets with harsh environments.
This presented a problem for the Citadel Council during the Rachni Warsas it was impossible for Council representatives to contact the queens in their nests in order to negotiate peace.
After attempts to halt the rachni advance failed, the krogan entered the fray, infiltrated the rachni nests, killed the queens on every world, and hunted the rachni to total extinction. A rachni vessel escaped the conflict and was left adrift with many eggs in cryogenic suspension.
A corporation called Binary Helix finds the vessel and brings an egg to the icy planet Noveria to hatch it, planning to clone the rachni inside to mass-produce an army, but instead they find a surviving rachni queen. She begins to lay eggs, which Binary Helix removes from her presence to train the brood as obedient soldiers, only to discover that rachni must develop close to a queen to allow her mind to shape theirs and soothe them.MASS EFFECT 3 - LEVIATHAN KILLS REAPER
Without the queen, the rachni go rogue and escape, infiltrating and heavily damaging the facilities at Peak Matriarch Beneziaacting on orders of Saren Arteriusplans to use the rachni to destroy Saren's enemies, but Benezia needs more from this queen than her eggs.
Using her biotics, Benezia takes the coordinates for the Mu Relay from the rachni queen's mind, drawing on the rachni's genetic memory. When Commander Shepard arrives and defeats Benezia, the queen sees the opportunity to appeal to Shepard for forgiveness, using the body of one of Benezia's commandos to translate.
The conversation gives the implication that the rachni queens are influenced by a 'sour yellow note', "a tone from space [that] hushed one voice after another", implying they were not fully responsible for the Rachni Wars. Wanting only to rebuild her species peacefully, the queen humbly asks what Shepard would do - kill her with the lab's acid tanks, consigning her to the "great silence", or free her instead.
If the Rachni Queen is freed, she escapes into the wilds of Noveria, remembering the kindness Shepard showed and intending to pass those lessons on to her new offspring. The turian Council representative is concerned that the rachni could challenge the Citadel again in a few generations, but Shepard can argue that this queen is not like her ancestors.Bennani freres teapot
If Shepard chooses to kill the queen, she tries once more to appeal by asking if fear of the rachni's threat factored in the decision. If Shepard ignores the appeal, the queen decides to live and attempts to have her thrall manipulate the controls.Menyimpan putih telur untuk masker
Shepard pushes the dying commando away and personally activates the acid bath. Later, the Council scolds Shepard for making the rachni extinct once more, with the turian representative asking whether humans take pleasure in the genocide of other races.
If the Rachni Queen is killed, it is revealed in a news report that data recovered from the Peak 15 facility on Noveria points to the cloning of rachni in the facility but none being found. If the Rachni Queen is set free, a newscast reports sightings of elusive scout ships consistent with rachni design.
She also sends a message to Shepard through an asarion the planet Illiumwho relays the Queen's gratitude for being freed, and that she promises her aid to Shepard "against the coming darkness.
If the Rachni Queen survived on Noveria, she is captured by the Reapers in She proves to be immune or at least highly resistant to indoctrinationand as a result the Reapers are forced to use physical restraints to hold her captive. She is located on Utukkudeep within a perversion of a rachni hive filled with Reaper technology.
Her young are indoctrinated and converted into Ravagers for the Reapers' forces. Shepard can choose to free her in exchange for her support against the Reapers, albeit sacrificing Aralakh Company. If Grunt survived the Suicide Mission and was loyal to the mission, he manages to survive, albeit with several injuries.
If Shepard chooses to leave the queen, she will accept her fate calmly, stating that she will "embrace the silence. If the Rachni Queen died inthen the Reapers will construct an artificial queen so they can have a rachni army to turn into Ravagers.
If Shepard chooses to free this queen, then unlike the queen from Noveria, this artificial queen eventually proves untrustworthy after a few missions, taking away the rachni workers she gave at first and doing damage to the Alliance Engineering Corps on her way out.Rachni vs Aralakh Company decision. To be frank, I didn't even notice in-game that Aralakh had been wiped out by the rachni.
I only read that later on the wiki page. Honestly, I found this all to be a bit confusing. The first time I played ME3, I thought that the Breeder's point was that she would create an army of rachni to help fight the Reapers if I were to release her. That, added to the fact that I was in enemy territory, completely surrounded by enemies; and the fact that I did feel sorry for her fate, made me take the logical path of releasing her from the Reaper's control.
In fact, I thought it would release the Reaper-rachni from Reaper control immediately, massacring the Reapers on the planet. You can imagine my surprise when Hackett told me "quite a gamble to ally with the rachni. I never agreed to such a thing.
Nah, I gas'd that B! Stupid bug. And I would never choose any Bug over Grunt and his pals. I kind of agree. Grunt should die if you choose to save the rachni queen again. I wasn't even aware arlakh company dies until reading about it. If you check your war assets it mentions it but neither Wrex nor Grunt give you any crap about it. Not so sure about saving the breeder though. I never did even with very renegade characters because it creeped me out so much.
And this was before learning that it actually depletes your assets. Realistically, saving the rachni queen not once but twice is very stupid. If you read up on the rachni wars setting the queen free on Noveria is a huge risk and very idealistic. The rachni gave no reason for sympathy. I suppose it's murder to kill the queen but it was to ensure the galaxy's safety. It's a mercy compared to leaving the rachni for the council which isn't an option strangely since they'd just run tests on it.
Now saving the queen a second time is even more stupid.
Besides the doubts of another rachni war, how could you know the rachni wasn't under reaper influence or could be trusted enough to be anywhere near the crucible?Queens also carry the genetic memory of their mothers, causing them to effectively be born with the collective knowledge of the previous hive. When we run out of jars, we store leftovers in bowls with saucers on top instead of plastic wrap. Bowls with saucers are great for stacking. We also use Anchor glass refrigerator containers to store daily portions of our homemade cat food. More on that below. The key to freezing foods in glass is not to fill the jar too full, since the food will expand inside the container.
The other caveat is not to heat the glass too quickly. Let foods thaw at room temperature to avoid glass breakage. Another option for the refrigerator or freezer are the flat-topped airtight stainless steel containers from Life Without Plastic. Their flat top makes them easy to stack and the fact that they are airtight means food can be stored longer. Read about my favorite container here. I did question whether it was better to donate these unhealthy items or to trash them. Turns out, our Oaklandwater is fine without a filter. So we can avoid plastic water filter cartridges from now on. For those who do need to filter their water, Brita has teamed up with Preserve to create a way to recycle the plastic cartridges.
All prepared soy milk cartons contain plastic. I squeeze fresh lemon and lime juice and keep it in glass jars in the refrigerator. And we make our own hummus, either from dried chick peas or from the dry mix in the bulk bin at Whole Foods. I have no problem acquiring second-hand plastic.
I also look for items made from recycled plastic, for the same reason. This solves several plastic problems. Lately, though, I have not had the time or energy to maintain my compost bin. But here in Oakland(as well as Berkeley and San Francisco) we have city-wide composting.
